My name is Lauren Thiessen. I was born on November 10, 2004, in Ontario, Canada. Growing up, I always loved to create things, whether it was clothing for my dolls or drawing games with my mom. My parents put me in art lessons from a young age, which really helped me to hone my creative skills and become more confident. ​
When I was around 8, I started making videos with one of my friends for YouTube. We would use our dolls and make little skits, then upload them. It was a lot of fun, and I taught myself basic editing and graphic design skills at a really young age. From there, I continued to learn how to use cameras and how to edit well. Over the years, I have continued making videos and it is something I absolutely love to do, to this day.
When I was 12 or so, I borrowed my dad's DSLR camera and started playing around with taking photos. My cousin and I took portraits of each other and put together outfits so that we could do photoshoots.
Since then, I became interested in self-portrait work and modelling in general. I signed with an agency last year, and have worked with multiple photographers. This has allowed me to make connections with fellow creative people, improve my skills in photography and modelling, and learn more about the fashion world as well.
In the fall of 2022, I will be at Brock University for Business Communication Studies, where I will further improve on all of these skills and apply them to a future career of creativity.
